Department Servers

Some of the main department servers for a user to access to run software, access services etc are

1. Geossun1.Geosc.UH.Edu – The main SUN application server, this is where you would login to access all the main commercial software like FOCUS, Geoframe, etc
2. Geoscdom.Geosc.UH.Edu – This is the windows user-space server, access this to transfer files from your windows account or http://geoscdom.geosc.uh.edu/~your-windows-user-name to access your personal web space.
3. Sheriff.agl.uh.edu – the AGL Beowulf cluster – 1
4. Margaret.geosc.uh.edu – the AGL Beowulf cluster – 2, SEISUP is available here
5. Tank.agl.uh.edu – AGL Beowulf cluster – for experimental purposes
6. Dix.agl.uh.edu – Linux Application server for VOXELGEO and STRATIMAGIC
7. Fermat.agl.uh.edu – The Thinanywhere server
8. Geossun2.Geosc.UH.Edu – The IMAQS Sun server
9. Houston-aqm.geosc.uh.edu, Texas-aqm.Geosc.uh.edu, Usa-aqm.Geosc.uh.edu – the IMAQS Beowulf clusters.
